THE FUTURISTIC MEDICINE- HOMEOPATHY-WINNING HEARTS & CHANGING ANALYTICS

INTRODUCTION:-

Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed by German physician Samuel Hahnemann in the late 18th century. The central principle of homeopathy is the Law of Similars, "Similia Similibus Curantur" which states that a substance that can cause symptoms in a healthy person can be used to treat similar symptoms in a sick person. This can be understood by the example of onion, on cutting raw onions there is watery discharge from the nose and eyes, the homeopathic remedy allium cepa which is prepared from raw onions have great results in treating watery coryza and lachrymation.
Hahnemann also believed in the importance of individualization in homeopathic prescribing. He believed that each patient is unique and should be treated as such, rather than simply treating the disease itself. Homeopathic remedies are chosen based on the individual's symptoms, rather than on the name of the disease.
Homeopathy treats the Man in disease while the other system of medicine treats the disease in man.
Let's take an example of an individual suffering from a frequent headache, the treatment through an allopathic system of medicine includes analgesic medicines for all types of headaches irrespective of their cause, the same headache is treated in homeopathy after a thorough individualization of the case even in acute cases. Some example of acute prescribing in homeopathy is as follows:
The choice of remedy depends on the individual's symptoms and overall constitution. Here are some common homeopathic remedies used for different types of headaches:
Natrum Muriaticum: This remedy is used for headaches that are triggered by stress or emotional upset. The person may feel irritable or weepy and may crave salty foods.
Nux Vomica: This remedy is used for headaches that are caused by overindulgence in food, alcohol, or other stimulants. The pain may be located in the forehead or temples and is often accompanied by nausea or vomiting.
Hence, we see that even in acute cases a wide array of symptoms are taken into consideration before treatment rather than using analgesic without identifying the actual causation of headache.

GROWTH OF RESEARCH PAVED THE PATH:-

In olden times, there was  a lack of research in the homeopathic field, since homeopathic medicines are tested on human beings rather than on animals and plants, it is very difficult to attempt invasive ways to find enough evidence of the effects of the medicine.
But recent advancements in research and scientific tools for research and  development have helped the Homeopathic  field to flourish and exponentially grow and logically and scientifically comprehensible.
Many clinical trials have debunked the 'placebo theory' and proven that homeopathy has a scientific basis and works. One such study, the EPI3 study has amply demonstrated the effectiveness of homeopathic practice vis-à-vis conventional practice by highlighting how homeopathy can be as effective as conventional practice with fewer side effects. For example, in a study conducted on upper respiratory tract infections, it was proved that homeopathic practice reduces the use of antibiotics by almost 50 percent.

MONETIZATION OF MEDICINE:-
Pharmaceutical is one of the largest growing industries in the world. In today's world of money, treating an individual has become a secondary aim, the primary aim is to earn money. So if the individual gets cured the health sector won't be benefitted from the individual,  the health sector will be benefitted only when the individual keeps falling sick again and again, or rather continue taking the medication for their whole life which just causes palliation of the symptoms. The prime example of this is the disease diabetes, in past, the normal range of fasting blood sugar was considered about 100 to 110, when the big health organization declared the range to be 80, half of the world's population became suddenly diabetic, with increases in demand for anti-diabetic drugs.
Since the homeopathic system of medicine causes a complete cure of disease, the pharma industry was no longer getting benefitted due to the patient getting cured by it and requiring no further medication. So the critics started to spread the hate of homeopathy, but they were futile.

GROWING STATUS IN OTHER COUNTRIES TOO:-
Homeopathy has a significant presence in India, where it is recognized as a regulated form of healthcare and is widely practiced. It is also popular in other parts of Asia, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

In Europe, homeopathy is most popular in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. France has the highest number of homeopathic practitioners in the world, and homeopathy is integrated into the country's healthcare system.

In the Americas, homeopathy has a significant presence in Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. In Brazil, homeopathy is recognized as a regulated form of healthcare, and there are numerous homeopathic hospitals and clinics. In the United States, homeopathy is considered an alternative medicine, and it is not regulated by the government.

POPULAR IN PEOPLE:-
Homoeopathy is becoming popular among patients who seek natural and holistic treatments for their health concerns. Homeopathy treatment is a very gentle and non-invasive form of medicine that can be used alongside conventional medical treatments.
Homeopathy has survived the last 200 years despite opposition from many quarters and is slowly emerging as the largest system of medicine.
Irrespective of above explanation about pharma market polotics, people have started to realise the benefits of homeopathic treatment after benefitting from its effects.  Homeopathy as a system of medicine has prominently evolved over the past two hundred and fifty years and is widely practiced globally as a complementary system of medicine. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), homeopathy is the second largest medical system in the world and is legally practiced in over 84 countries.
From being an alternative system of medicine, homeopathy has become a complementary system of medicine and a primary healthcare choice to treat both acute and chronic medical conditions. People including allopathic doctors are accepting homeopathy like never before.
From a humble beginning with just 200 drugs during Hahnemann's time, today there are more than 2,000 clinically-tested homeopathic medicines in practice. Its growing popularity can be gauged from the fact that the World Health Organisation has recognized it as the second-largest system of medicine in the world. For the past 250 years, this system of medicine has made a remarkable journey and has a bright future across the world.

The spectrum of diseases curable with homeopathy has become much wider than previously thought. Studies indicate that homeopathic medical therapy can play a beneficial role in the long-term care of patients with chronic diseases. Some of the illnesses that respond best to homeopathic treatment are ENT, digestive, cardiovascular, and osteoarticular problems as well as behavioral and psychiatric disorders. It can also help people recover sooner after surgery. In summary, 50 percent of health issues can be taken care of by homeopathy including the side effects of allopathy.

Homeopathic medicines are quite cheap compared to other drugs. The French government compared all the costs associated with treatment from a homeopathic physician with that of a conventional physician and discovered that homeopathic care costs one-half as much.
These trends truly suggest that Homeopathy has the potential to become the future of medicine.

Introduction to homeopathy:-

Homeopathy is the safest and fastest growing system of Medicine started in the 18th century by Dr.Samuel Hahnemann(1755-1843). It is based on the principle of "Similia Similibus cutanter" which means "like is cured by like ''. To explain more clearly, we can say that during the provings conducted, if a substance produces typical set of symptoms when taken by a healthy human being, than the same or similar substance in its potentized form is able to treat and annihilate the same symptoms which occur naturally due to diseased state of a person.

How homeopathy started:-

Dr Hahnemann became a qualified physician in 1779. He was a  sound believer of achieving health in the holistic and most natural way. That is why he was concerned and dissatisfied with the large and obnoxious doses of chemical substances used to treat patients at that time.

He was translating the work of William Cullen who was an eminent doctor who explained how Cinchona bark extract could cure malaria which was then known as Ague. Doctor Hahnemann wanted to confirm how similar the effects of the Cinchona bark poisoning is to those symptoms of the disease that it can cure. So Dr. Hahnemann took the Cinchona bark himself and noted down carefully all the effects that it had on him. The results were astonishing and marked the most noticeable and path breaking day ever in medical history for the beginning of a new and promising medical system to heal the world. He found that only by their power to make healthy humans ill , that same medicine can cure the naturally existing similar morbid states in living beings.

Then Dr. Hahnemann kept on repeating these tests on many other substances in the same way by giving doses to the healthy people and noting all of their physical and mental symptoms down and then later using these substances to treat the disease when symptoms matched the diseased state in patients that came to him.

That is why Homeopathy is so individualistic in its approach of healing the patients and  accounts for every emotional , psychological, physical and mental symptom and Constitution of the patient as whole rather than just treating the physical symptoms superficially.
